The KDA-64 by Mean Well is used to connect DALI lighting systems to KNX installations.
The device is capable of transforming switch and dim commands from the KNX system to the DALI protocol, in addition to status information in reverse. It's a Category 1 device (in accordance with EN 62386-103). This means that the device can be used in DALI segments connected with ECGs and not with DALI devices without the segment (no multi-master function).
The power for the 64 connected ECGs comes directly from the KDA-64, additional DALI power supplies are neither allowed nor required.
The unit comes with a 4-unit DIN rail case that can be directly mounted. Connections to the KNX are made via a bus connector. The DALI bus is connected via screw connectors on the device.
The ECGs can be switched, dimmed and set to a defined value in 16 groups per gateway.
